山竹肆虐菲國12小時 引發山洪、土石流災情慘
破壞力強大的颱風山竹登陸菲律賓後肆虐長達12小時，它所帶來的豪雨在呂宋島北部引發土石流和山洪，強風更是把上千戶民宅吹毀、奪去25條人命。另外在美國北卡羅來納州，熱帶風暴佛羅倫斯移動緩慢，導致災難性水患。
滾滾泥流不斷翻騰向下，颱風山竹橫掃菲律賓12小時，挾帶的豐沛水氣，在呂宋島北部引發山洪和土石流。從民眾拍攝的畫面可以看到災情十分慘重，山竹的狂風更是把民宅都給摧毀。
記者：「颱風在北呂宋島的東北部登陸，當局表示有千戶民宅被摧毀，目前已經知道有數十起土石流，另外可能會有更多土石流威脅，這也使得許多主要道路被封閉。」
山竹雖然已經離開菲律賓，但是短時間裡要掌握災情資訊並不容易。
記者：「呂宋島北部許多地方停電，而當局也擔心通訊持續中斷，因為電話線被破壞，這使得他們難以掌握確切災情。」
同樣飽受風災之苦的還有美國北卡羅來納州。
主播：「北卡有著災難性的水患，熱帶風暴佛羅倫斯緩慢在北卡州移動，在北卡已經有20條河川的水位到了警戒值，而降雨量已經打破熱帶風暴的雨量紀錄。」
淹水情況嚴重，使得許多地區的道路變成河道。
民眾：「我站在車道上，淹水的高度到了我的膝蓋。」
積水不只沒有退去，隨著大雨下不停，民眾擔心水勢還會繼續升高。正當各界忙著救災的同時，有民眾捕捉到鱷魚在家門前逛大街的畫面，成為這次風災過程中的意外訪客。
